Luis G. Peña completed his Master of Health Science in Medical Genomics at the University of Toronto, after earning his Bachelor of Science in Genomic Biotechnology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. His passion for genetics began during his undergraduate studies, where he saw firsthand the potential of genomics to transform patient care. Luis joined Ontario Health's Provincial Genetics Program, where he now leads strategic quality and policy improvement initiatives for genetic services across Ontario. Luis is driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare system and is committed to bringing the latest genomics advancements to improve diagnosis and care for people in Ontario.
