Our lab is using molecular and live animal (Drosophila and zebrafish), genome-scale approaches to understanding developmental and disease processes. Our current main areas of research are on 1) identifying gut microbiome metabolites that influence metabolism, immunity and inflammation via interactions with host nuclear receptors proteins, and 2) studying the roles of long noncoding RNAs in evolution and the male reproductive tract.
