Title: Advanced Cell Engineering Technologies for Large-scale Biological Interpretation
Abstract: Much of the human genome remains incompletely understood because gene function depends on cellular context, gene dosage, and genetic background. To address this, our lab develops scalable cell engineering platforms that combine genome-wide loss-of-function, gain-of-function, and targeted sequence-diversification screens. By removing genes, activating genes, or generating local genetic variation, we identify loci and pathways that control cell state, fitness, survival, and therapeutic response. This talk will highlight how complementary perturbation strategies can reveal cellular vulnerabilities, adaptive states, and drug responses that are difficult to fully capture with any single approach.
