The Ontario government has granted $10 million to the U of T's high containment facility (THCF), which is managed by Scott Gray-Owen. He serves as both the academic director of the facility and a professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics. This funding is a direct investment in supporting the department's research in infectious diseases, and it will facilitate training for researchers, while also enhancing Canada's health security.
