Dr. Keiran Campbell, assistant professor of molecular genetics at Temerty Medicine, has earned the New Investigator Award from the Canadian Society for Molecular Biosciences (CSMB).
The award recognizes outstanding research accomplishment in biochemistry or molecular or cellular biology and is awarded to researchers with 10 or fewer years of experience.
The Campbell Lab focuses on Bayesian models and machine learning for high-dimensional biomedical data, including single-cell and cancer genomics.
Dr. Campbell has contributed extensively to the scientific literature on machine learning and omics data analysis and has previously been named Canada Research Chair in Machine Learning for Translational Biomedicine.
