Dr. Lewis Kay Promoted to Companion of the Order of Canada

The Department of Molecular Genetics congratulates University Professor Lewis Kay on being promoted to Companion of the Order of Canada, Canada’s highest civilian honour.

Professor Kay, a University Professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine and Senior Scientist at The Hospital for Sick Children, was recognized for his work driving innovation in biomolecular structure and dynamics research.

The promotion was announced on June 26, 2026, as part of the latest appointments to the Order of Canada, which recognize individuals for their extraordinary contributions to Canada.

Congratulations to Professor Kay on this distinguished national honour.
