Fifty-eight summer students from the Departments of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry presented their research posters at this year’s MGY/BCH Poster Session, held at the Faculty Club. The quality of the presentations was outstanding, reflecting the strength of student training across both departments.
Four students were selected as competition winners:
Emily Huynh (Ivakine Lab)
Correction of a nonsense variant in congenital muscular dystrophy using base editing technology
Vivian Liu (Maxwell Lab)
Too early to escape: Anti-phage defence disrupts nuclear assembly
Mac Goldman (Norris Lab)
2.1 A Crystal Structure of the Langya Virus Matrix Protein
Arveen Tahmasebi (Houry Lab)
Investigation of Novel Substrates and Localization of Hyperactivated Mitochondrial ClpP Protease
Congratulations to all participants, and thank you to our faculty judges for supporting the next generation of molecular life scientists.
