BIOSKETCH:

Abby Watts-Dickens is a genetic counsellor in the Newborn Screening Program in the Division of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics at SickKids.

Abby obtained her bachelor of science in Genetics from the University of Western Ontario, and obtained her master of science in genetic counselling at the University of British Columbia. After completing her training she joined the Department of Medical Genetics at BC Women’s and Children’s Hospitals. She was certified by the American Board of Genetic Counselling in 2017 and joined SickKids in 2018. 

Abby is involved in the clinical supervision of genetic counselling students and medical trainees at the University of Toronto, and has served as a committee chair with the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors.
