BIOSKETCH:

Josh Silver, MSc, CGC, CCGC received his masters in genetic counselling from the University of Toronto in 2008. Soon after graduation he joined the Genetics Clinic at North York General Hospital, practicing in prenatal and general genetics. He became certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors in 2009. In 2011 he joined the Adult Genetics Clinic at the University Health Network and Mount Sinai hospital. His current research interests include the identification and prevalence of genetic syndromes in adult patients with psychiatric phenotypes, and in studying whether hereditary connective tissue disorders contribute to the development of spinal Tarlov cysts. Josh is a current member of the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors Certification Board, and was the representative of this group to the Genetic Counseling Advanced Degree Task Force.
