BIOSKETCH:

Mrs. Steele is a clinical co-ordinator of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory at the Hospital for Sick Children.  Leslie obtained her Master of Science degree in the field of Molecular Biology at Queen’s University and has been at SickKids since 1995.  Her area of expertise lies in the application of molecular biology techniques and the use of Bayesian analysis in genetic risk assessment.  Her teaching experience includes lectures at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in addition to lectures in the MSc. course in Genetic Counseling at the University of Toronto.  She has also participated in the training of Fellows who will sit the Canadian College of Medical Genetics (CCMG) exam.
