BIOSKETCH:

Marie Injeyan, MSc., CGC, CCGC, graduated from Queen's University in 2007 after completing a medial degree in Biology and Philosophy with an emphasis in clinical bioethics. She received a Masters of Science degree in Genetic Counselling from the University of Toronto in 2009. Marie participated in research and teaching activities at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health prior to joining the Prenatal Diagnosis Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2011. She has a special interest in the areas of psychiatric genetic counselling and caregiver stress reactions, including compassion fatigue. Marie was certified by both the American Board of Genetic Counselors and the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors in 2011.
