Medicine by Design

Medicine by Design (MBD) is a UofT research initiative located in the MaRS West Tower that invests and provides funding to regenerative medicine and cell therapy research projects. MBD's research portfolio can be found here.
Many MoGen faculty members participate in this program through various ways:
- MBD Investigators
- Lead or Co-investigators on various funded initiatives
Current trainees/grad students and postdocs may:
- Apply for funding to attend conferences directly related to MBD-funded research through the Trainee Travel Grants if their PI has MBD funding
- Includes the International Society for Stem Cell Research annual meeting, Till & McCulloch Meetings, and Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine Science Communication Workshop
- Participate in the Building a Biotech Venture
- Participate in the Summer by Design workshop
