Drs. Anne-Claude Gingras, Jeff Wrana And James Rini Work To Develop A Blood Test To Screen Thousands For COVID-19 Immunity

A team of researchers at Sinai Health System and the University of Toronto is in the early stages of developing a blood test that can identify who is immune to COVID-19 on a mass scale. The test, which detects antibodies to the virus, has the potential to screen 10,000 samples at once. This project is a collaboration between the Gingras and Wrana labs at LTRI, with other researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, including the Rini lab, which was key to producing proteins for the assay.
