MoGen's Graduate Student Association Promote STEAM at Science Rendezvous

GSA summer events are already in full swing! On Saturday, May 11th, MoGen was back at Science Rendezvous to run interactive activities for attendees. The free street festival aims to promote the STEAM fields to students and the general public. MoGen graduate students demonstrated DNA extractions using bananas, helped kids build DNA models with licorice and marshmallows, and refereed 96-well plate pipetting races.

The Graduate Student Association would like to thank all the volunteers and designers who made our booth possible and everyone who braved the weather to attend the festival. See you again next year!
