BIOSKETCH:

Rachel Silver, CGC, CCGC graduated with an Honours Bachelors of Science degree from McGill University in 2003 before completing her Masters of Science in Genetic Counselling at the Johns Hopkins University/National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) in 2007.  Upon graduation she moved to Toronto and joined the Prenatal Diagnosis and Medical Genetics Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2007, where she continues to work as a prenatal Genetic Counsellor.  Rachel holds a faculty position at University of Toronto as an Instructor based on her roles as a clinical supervisor and lecturer in the MSc Program in Genetic Counselling.

She was certified by both the American Board of Genetic Counselors (ABGC) and the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) in 2009, and is a member of both the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) and the CAGC.
