BIOSKETCH: 

Regan Klatt, MS, CCGC, CGC, received a Master of Science degree in Medical Genetics from the University of Cincinnati in 2002.  She was certified by the Canadian Association of Genetic Counselling  in 2004 and the American Board of Genetic Counseling in 2005.  She began her career in the Division of Clinical and Metabolic Genetics as a research genetic counsellor coordinating clinical research studies related to Fabry disease.  From 2003 until 2012 she worked with a number of different patient populations including cleft lip and palate, craniofacial, cardiac, and neurogenetic, as well as general paediatric genetics.  She has a special interest in hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.  Since 2013, she has been a genetic counsellor in the Department of Ophthalmology & Vision Sciences seeing patients with a variety of genetic eye diseases including retinal dystrophy, albinism, Usher syndrome, and retinoblastoma, amongst others.  She is a lecturer and clinical supervisor with the MSc Genetic Counselling Program at the University of Toronto and coordinates a first year course in clinical research methodology.  She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
