  • 2021 – Master’s of Science degree in Genetic Counselling in the University of Toronto
  • 2019 – Master’s of Health Science degree in Translational Research from University of Toronto

Renee Hofstedter, MSc, MHSc, MS (Ed), CCGC, CGC, received a Master’s of Science degree in Genetic Counselling in University of Toronto in 2021, a Master’s of Health Science degree in Translational Research in University of Toronto in 2019, and a Master’s of Science degree in Education in Long Island University in 2011. In 2021, Renee was certified in Genetic Counselling by the Canadian Board of Genetic Counselling and the American Board of Genetic Counseling. In 2021 she joined the Bhalwani Familial Cancer Clinic in Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, where she provides genetic counselling and testing for patients suspected of having hereditary cancer syndromes, with a special interest in hereditary endocrine oncology. Renee is a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the University of Toronto’s Genetic Counselling Program. Prior to becoming a Genetic Counsellor, Renee was a high school Biology teacher for ten years. She is passionate about educating students, patients, and providers regarding complex genetic topics. She is a member of the Provincial Genetics Program Genetics Education Reference Table.
