Rochelle Demsky MS, CGC, received a Master of Science degree in Genetic Counselling from Sarah Lawrence College in 1999. In 1999, she was certified in Genetic Counselling by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and worked at Albert Einstein College of Medicine until 2002. She coordinated several research studies including a study of prostate cancer in Ashkenazi Jewish men as well as developed a cancer genetics program at White Plains Hospital. In 2002, Rochelle joined the genetics department at Beth Israel Medical Center and Roosevelt Hospital in NYC. She continued to develop their cancer genetics program until 2004. In 2006, Rochelle moved to Toronto and joined the Familial Breast and Ovarian Cancer Clinic at Princess Margaret Cancer Center (PMCC). She is a genetic counsellor (PMCC) and a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto. Additionally, she is a co-investigator on a number of research studies related to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome.
