Toronto Bioinformatics Hackathon
This student-led hackathon is calling for early career scientists to tackle interdisciplinary projects that emphasize computational and entrepreneurial thinking involving bioinformatics, biology, statistics, and computer science. π» π§¬π‘
In partnership with the Terrence Donnelly Centre, the Temerty Faculty of Medicineβs Computational Biology in Molecular Genetics (CBMG) program, and the Department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto, our participants will collaborate to propose innovative solutions to key challenges in computational biology with commercialization potential. π
Have an innovative project idea? Or just eager to participate?
To participate, you may (i) request to be placed on an existing team, or (ii) propose a new project (in a max 300-word abstract) with the option of serving as its team lead. Participants may request friends that they would like to have as team members. Please register using the Participant Registration Form in our webpage. If you are interested in proposing a project, please also fill out the Project Application Form in the same webpage! π

The registration deadline for all participants, as well as for project applications, is August 30th, 2024.
The hackathon will begin on Friday evening on September 27th and continue until Sunday evening on September 29th. It will be held at the Terrence Donnelly Centre located at 160 College Street, in the heart of the University of Toronto St. George Campus.
