Marci Schwartz

Biography

Marci is an ABGC Certified Genetic Counsellor who earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling through the Johns Hopkins University and the National Human Genome Research Institute Genetic Counseling Training Program in 2015.  She has been the program manager for the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research Cardiac Genome Clinic since 2021 where she manages a variety of research projects and performs research-based genome analysis.   Prior to joining the Cardiac Genome Clinic, she worked on a large-scale research study where she provided patient care and assisted with research surrounding the return of genetic results to biobank participants.   She is a former co-chair of the National Society of Genetic Counselors Precision Medicine Special Interest Group.  Her interests include innovative approaches to integrating genomic technologies into patient care and research to better understand gene-disease relationships.
