MoGen Emeritus Professor Dr. Jane Aubin Wins Shirley Hohl Service Award from ASBMR

MoGen Professor Emerita Dr. Jane Aubin recently received the 2021 Shirley Hohl Service Award at the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research 2021 Annual Meeting at San Diego. Her research specializes in skeletal stem and osteoprogenitor cells and their differentiation pathways and bone formation. She trained and mentored countless students, postdoc fellows, and visiting students and was a member of numerous editorial boards, advisory committees, and grant review panels. Dr. Aubin previously served as a president of the ASBMR, increasing international participation and advocacy for women in STEM, new investigators and trainees. In addition, she was a chair in the Departments of Dentistry and Anatomy at UofT, many other senior leadership positions in national and international societies such as the CIHR, Canadian Arthritis Network of Centres of Excellence, and Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis.
